In 2017, after a career in technology, Scott Haladay was looking to put his passion into the Walla Walla Wine industry and was very fortunate to purchase one of Walla Walla Valley’s iconic brands, Walla Walla Vintners. He has worked tirelessly with his team to craft a new era of Walla Walla Vintners wines that blends the brand’s almost 30 years of traditions with a modern approach to winemaking and viticulture.
In addition to the classically styled Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc, Walla Walla Vintners has always had a unique focus and fascination with Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese. The Cabernet Franc is newworld styled, balancing the fruit and spice characteristics typical in this varietal. The Sangiovese sees more old-world inspiration of classic Italian wines, being bright red fruited and acid driven. The wines from the Walla Walla Valley are large, expressive, and full of lively personality. The goal for each vintage at Walla Walla Vintners is to make decisions in the vineyard and in the cellar to craft wines that are rich, dense, textural, elegant, and most importantly, pleasurable.
