SIEM REAP – ANGKOR
Begin your early morning starting tour to explore the temple complex at Angkor Wat, the most iconic of all Angkorian temples, built by King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century to honor the Hindu god, Vishnu. Visit Angkor Wat and see the color changes of the temple with the natural sunlight during this early morning tour. Next, you can explore the Angkor Museum, taking in the journey from the beginning of time to the height of Khmer civilization, and meet with the museum’s curator. In the afternoon, you can choose to visit the hilltop temple of Chaw Srei Vibol, a timeworn 11th-century temple encircled by vast moats, or the blue sandstone Beng Mealea, one of the largest Khmer-era temples in Cambodia, surrounded by dense jungle that adds to its sense of mystery and charm. Alternatively, enjoy a special tour of floating island villages, where you can meet the people who live there and see a glimpse of their daily life.** During the evening, be treated to a special “Apsara Dancing Show” at your hotel, featuring local Cambodian/Khmer folk dancers.
