AMAWATERWAYS HONOURED WITH TWO TOP AWARDS IN CRUISE CRITIC’S 11TH ANNUAL UK EDITORS’ PICKS AWARDS

Guildford - (Dec. 4, 2019) -

AmaWaterways has been voted 'Best for Active Cruisers' in the '2019 Cruise Critic Editors' Picks Awards', while its new double-width ship, AmaMagna, was voted the 'Best New River Ship'.

When announcing that AmaMagna had been voted 'Best New River Cruise Ship' the judges said "The most-anticipated river ship of 2019 is also the best of the year. Unique because it is double the width of most river cruise ships, AmaMagna is a game-changer. The modern ship offers large staterooms, a full-sized pool and an array of restaurants. AmaMagna is a dream for fitness and wellness enthusiasts, with a large gym and dedicated spa space -- unheard of on river ships."

AmaWaterways was also recognised as 'Best for Active Cruisers' for the second year running. The judges stated "The leader in active river cruising continues to innovate with wellness coaches on every ship, leading yoga, core and stretching classes. While AmaMagna, the line's newest ship, has a full-sized fitness room, staying healthy is a focus fleetwide, with new programmes added regularly. (Champagne yoga, anyone?) Add in biking and hiking in each port, and you'll find it easy to work off calories."

Stuart Perl, Managing Director commented "We are incredibly proud and honoured that AmaWaterways has been recognised as a leader in its field.

"2019 has been a busy year with the launch of three new ships, including the revolutionary AmaMagna. For those of our guests who enjoy an active healthy lifestyle, our ships and itineraries have been designed to deliver that experience. Our double-width AmaMagna offers an unprecedented amount of space throughout the ship as well as a unique range of facilities and guests' feedback has been phenomenal."

AmaMagna features a dedicated Zen Wellness Studio surrounded by retractable windows, so guests can enjoy classes without missing out on river views. A large heated swimming pool, walking & jogging track, juice bar, gym and beauty salon are also on offer to guests. AmaWaterways also offers a Wellness host on board to offer a range of classes (from stretching and yoga to spin classes) as well as more active excursions on shore.

Cruise Critic boasts the world’s largest online cruise community, with more than 350,000 cruise reviews, covering approximately 700 cruise ships and over 500 worldwide ports. The awards are selected by a global panel of impartial cruise experts to highlight the best cruise lines for UK travellers.
