AMAWATERWAYS EXPANDS EXOTIC RIVER CRUISE OFFERINGS WITH NEW 2018 MEKONG ITINERARIES

Guests sailing on-board AmaDara in 2018 can ‘Fly for Free’ on bookings made before August 31st 2017

Guildford - (Jun. 19, 2017) - AmaWaterways are providing travellers with more options to experience Southeast Asia throughout 2018 as part of their expanded portfolio of exotic itineraries in Vietnam and Cambodia. Guests will have the flexibility to sail the Mekong for seven nights upstream or downstream aboard the luxurious AmaDara (pictured above) and extend their holiday by adding a choice of pre and post-cruise land options.

AmaWaterways’ 2018-19 Asia itineraries will include:

• Charms of the Mekong – Upstream:

o 15-night cruise and land package: two nights in Ho Chi Minh City, seven-night Mekong river cruise onboard AmaDara, two nights in Siem Reap, three nights in Hanoi and one night in Ha Long Bay, leads in from just £3,346pp* including port taxes, flights and transfers between airport, hotel and ship^

o 12-night cruise and land package: two nights hotel stay in Ho Chi Minh City, seven-night Mekong river cruise onboard AmaDara, and three nights in Siem Reap, leads in from just £2,439pp* including port taxes, flights and transfers between airport, hotel and ship^

• Riches of the Mekong – Downstream:

o 15-night cruise and land package: two nights in Hanoi, one night in Ha Long Bay, three nights in Siem Reap, seven-night Mekong river cruise onboard AmaDara and two nights in Ho Chi Minh City, leads in from just £3,346pp* including port taxes, flights and transfers between airport, hotel and ship^

o 10-night cruise and land package: three nights in Siem Reap followed by a seven-night Mekong river cruise onboard AmaDara to Ho Chi Minh City leads in from just £2,173pp* including port taxes, flights and transfers between airport, hotel and ship^

AmaWaterways’ “Charms of the Mekong” and “Riches of the Mekong” itineraries afford guests the opportunity to experience authentic cultural encounters, delicious cuisine, and enticing shore excursions that include a trip to a Buddhist monastery, a full-day exploration of the historical and ecological site of Xeo Quyt and a rice paper and candy-making workshop in Cai Be. Guests will also have the opportunity to visit the infamous Killing Fields and Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh followed by a trip to the Royal Palace. Each journey is enhanced by experts well-versed in Asian religions, architecture and history – offering travellers a truly immersive experience.

Guests immersing themselves in the Asian culture will do so onboard the award-winning AmaDara, which features spacious accommodations with touches of elegant French Colonial décor and authentic Mekong artefacts and accents. The 124-guest ship includes private twin balconies – a French and outside balcony – in each stateroom, as well as an array of amenities, including a spa, sun deck pool and fitness room. In addition to the main dining room, guests may enjoy The Chef’s Table restaurant, offering a delectable fusion menu developed by award-winning executive chef, Primus Perchtold.
