Stained Glass Along The Enchanting Rhine

let-there-be-light Explore both medieval and modern stained-glass installations along the Rhine River with an expert in the field.

An award-winning artist and hands-on conservator at Clerkin Higgins Stained Glass, NYC, Mary Clerkin Higgins has conserved stained glass from the 12th century to the present for numerous museums and institutions across the United States. Her new work has been selected for Corning’s annual New Glass Review and she continues to write and lecture frequently on stained glass. Higgins is also a founder and past president of the American Glass Guild, which recently presented her with a lifetime-achievement award.

Higgins appears in the documentary, “Let There Be Light” created by filmmaker, Peter Swanson. Currently airing on PBS, the film follows three grand masters of stained glass as they make their last window for the Washington National Cathedral. Told with stunningly beautiful images, its aim is to inspire and ignite that inner creative light that is within all of us.

Join grandmaster Mary Clerkin Higgins from November 10 -17, 2018 as she takes to the river, exploring stained glass installations at some of the most notable landmarks along the Enchanting Rhine. The AmaPrima – your luxurious home-away-from-home, provides a destination in itself – offering incredibly spacious riverview staterooms, luxurious amenities, critically acclaimed dining, best-in-class service and much, much more.
