SOAK UP THE BEAUTY OF ONE OF EUROPE’S MOST UNADULTERATED LANDSCAPES ON THE DOURO

Savings of more than £650 per person on offer

Guildford - (Apr. 11, 2019) - AmaWaterways' second ship on the Douro river officially joins the fleet this week and to celebrate, they are offering savings of more than £650 per person off selected Douro river cruises.

The luxurious 'AmaDouro', will be blessed during a ceremony in Porto, Portugal, on April 12 and offers 51 spacious, elegantly designed staterooms, most with outside balconies to enjoy beautiful views of hills and vineyards along the UNESCO-designated Douro River Valley.

Rambling vineyards and charming native farms cling to the steep sides of the river, creating an incomparable backdrop to one of Europe's most unspoiled regions and to Port country - the world's oldest demarcated wine region. During their cruise, guests can explore Porto, the beautiful "City of Bridges"; visit Barca d’Alva, the last Portuguese village along the Douro; and marvel at Salamanca, the "Golden City".

The offer is valid on a selection of 'Enticing Douro' cruises departing in July and August 2019. Prices for the seven night cruise on AmaDouro previously started from £2,803 per person but are now available from £2,135 per person for a category E stateroom - a saving of £668 per person with complimentary flights and transfers also now included.

Meanwhile, the ten night 'Flavours of Portugal and Spain' packages on sister ship AmaVida, combining a seven night cruise with three nights in Madrid have also been reduced. The ten day trip was £3,346 per person but now costs from £2,695 per person for a category E stateroom and hotel accommodation – a saving of £651 per person. Complimentary flights & transfers are again included.

Larger savings are available for those booking suites.

All AmaWaterways' voyages include full board, drinks with meals (including wine and beer), a choice of excursions & unlimited WiFi. The complimentary return flights are available from London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Manchester.

In order to qualify, bookings must be made by 30 April 2019.
