Bringing the Family Together – Local Sponsorships and Special Awards

Supporting our local community has always been very important to Rudi and me. With our office based in Calabasas, one project close to our hearts is the annual Calabasas Film Festival. As a non-profit, first- rate festival, it provides the community with an opportunity to connect with the studio executives, actors, writers and directors that live and work in the city as well as supporting young filmmakers with a platform for outreach through student screenings and events.

We were particularly happy this week to have many members of our office team together to welcome some of the 3,000 festival visitors at a recent pre-screening cocktail party. It was a great way to introduce the Amawaterways family to the Calabasas community while enjoying local culinary arts and entertainment.

Two other recent events brought together other valued members of our extended Ama Family. The American Society of Travel Agents’ (ASTA) and National Association of Career Travel Agents' (NACTA) held their annual conferences and both named AmaWaterways as their River Cruise Partner of the Year. We are so proud of these awards from the travel agent community as it truly recognizes the hard work and incredible customer care delivered by our AmaWaterways employees in our office, in the field and onboard our 20 ships.

We are proud of our large family and contributions we are able to make to the local community as well as passion they bring to delivering the best possible river cruise experience for our guests.
